DIRECTIONS TO THE ROCKAWAY BEACH CONCESSIONS

SUBWAY
From Manhattan:
A train to Far Rockaway. Transfer at Broad Channel to the S (shuttle) train. Stops at 90th, 98th, 105th and 116th.  Get off of the train and walk two blocks up to the boardwalk.

From Brooklyn:
L or J train to Broadway Junction. Transfer to the A to Far Rockaway. See above.

BUS
Q53 Rockaway Park Limited (Express bus service).
Catch at the Woodhaven stop of the J train, in front of H&R Block.
Or,
At the Rockaway Blvd stop of the A train, on the traffic island in front of PC Richards.
Get off at Beach 95th (in front of Veggie Island), 98th, 102nd, 105th, 108th or 116th.

Q21 to Arverne (local bus).
Catch at the Woodhaven stop of the J train, in front of H&R Block.
Or,
At the Rockaway Blvd stop of the A train, on the traffic island in front of PC Richards.
Get off at Beach 91st Street, right around the corner from Boarders Surf Shop.

BIKE
Get yourself to Prospect Park, then follow Ocean Parkway and the Greenway Path all the way to Neptune Avenue.  Turn left.  Neptune will turn into Emmons Ave, and will lead you to the bike path just next to the Belt Parkway that runs around Sheepshead Bay.  Follow this to the Greenway on Flatbush Avenue, then over the Marine Parkway Bridge and straight out to the beaches. Remember you can always take your bike home on the train!

CAR
Make a day of it!  Come early and leave late to avoid the traffic, and have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the boardwalk concessions!

From the Belt Parkway, take exit 11S for Flatbush Ave S towards the Rockaways. Merge onto Flatbush and continue onto Marine Pkwy Bridge. Toll to and from is $3.25. Continue straight onto Beach Channel Drive.  Take a right at 108th to Shorefront Pkwy. The first concession stand at 106th will be on the right, with more at 96th and 86th.

Parking:
Most of the parking in Rockaway is FREE!  Get here early to get a good spot! There is free parking all along Shorefront Pkwy as well as the side streets, as well as a large free parking lot on Shorefront Pkwy between Beach 94th and 95th streets.
